An enlarged prostate rarely affects work much. Simple changes and time off for treatment are usually all that is needed.

Is it a disability?

An enlarged prostate is not usually severe enough to count as a disability under the Equality Act, but it can be if it has a substantial, long-term effect on daily life.

Benefits

An enlarged prostate on its own does not usually qualify for disability benefits.

Prescriptions

In England, a prescription prepayment certificate can save money if you take regular medicines. Men aged 60 and over get free prescriptions in England. Prescriptions are free for everyone in Wales.
