Your rights at work

Under the Equality Act 2010, employers must not treat you unfairly because of a disability, and must make reasonable adjustments, such as changes to hours, equipment or duties. See the work pages in our guides to health conditions for examples for your condition.

Help finding work

  • Jobcentre Plus work coaches can refer you to specialist support.
  • The Disability Confident scheme shows employers who have committed to recruiting and supporting disabled people.
  • Many areas run supported employment programmes, and mental health services often offer Individual Placement and Support to help people into work.

Carers who work

See help for carers for your right to carer's leave and to ask for flexible working.
