Managing pain

  • start painkillers early, as soon as pain begins
  • use heat pads or a hot water bottle
  • gentle exercise, stretching or yoga may help

Fatigue

Pace yourself, plan rest, and be kind to yourself on bad days.

Sex and relationships

Pain during sex is common. Talk to your partner, try different positions, and speak to your doctor, as help is available.

Mental health

Living with pain and a long wait for diagnosis can be very hard. Talk to your GP if you feel low or anxious.

Support

Endometriosis UK has a helpline, online community and local support groups.
